like a bird telling stories on a telephone wire or a momma in the backseat strapping in her child a night on the town for the feedback kid an abstract decision on a mountain within like birds searching wormholes after rain from the sky or an old song on soft in the summer night it's only a stone's throw 'til the birds all fly off or a record on the radio years almost forgot well, now I'm starting to feel like spinning colors on a gameshow wheel old tapes selling freight train weight and the thought I'm doing right in the twilight... it reminds me of texas replied with a grin remember that sunset and drinking warm beer?

about

The photograph on the cover was taken last winter while traveling through Nashville after a trip to California. I was trying to look inside the Wilburn Street Tavern, where I played and hosted some shows when I lived there and after I lived there as well, but unfortunately the Tavern was closed. The owner, Miss Paulette, had just recently started remodeling the bar until for some reason or another ended up losing the lease and her version of the Wilburn Street Tavern was no more. I was hoping to meet her outside to say hello and take her picture before I had to go back to New York but I couldn't get in touch with her, so I just got close up to the window and tried to catch a glimpse of how things used to be.
